Penny Sykes

Penny Sykes is a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher who began her study of Iyengar yoga in Noosa in 1988. Her early motivation was stiffness and backache and her timing coincided with Michel Besnard starting the Noosa Yoga Centre. His dedication, positive attitude and sense of humour helped Penny through the initial phase of her yoga journey. Penny has studied with senior teacher Peter Scott here in Noosa since Peter bought Noosa Yoga Centre in 1998 and obtained her Iyengar teaching Certification in 2004. She has studied with the Iyengars in India in 2003, 2005 and 2007and has attended numerous International workshops conducted by senior Iyengar teachers from Canada and the USA

Wendy Sugars

Wendy Sugars gained her Iyengar Yoga Teacher certification in 1986. Wendy has been a student of yoga since 1977 and trained under Pixie Lillas at Balmain Yoga Studio in Sydney. Wendy travels regularly to India to further her studies with Sri BKS Iyengar and his 2 children, Geeta and Prashant. Wendy brings a uniquely exacting, yet supportive personal approach to her teaching, both in the classroom as well as in private practice. A dedicated Yoga practitioner Wendy also holds certificates in Massage, Nutrition and Diplomas in Aromatherapy and Reflexology.

Jeff Steele

Jeff is a vibrant and enthusiastic Iyengar Yoga teacher who has been practicing and studying Iyengar Yoga since 1988. Jeff completed his teacher training with Peter Scott in 2003 and has furthered his practice in Pune, India with Sri B.K.S. Iyengar and Smt. Geeta Iyengar. Jeff's teaching strength comes from his personal practice experiences and he is eager to share the empowering and fulfilling qualities of yoga in his classes.

Helen Eames

Helen is an experienced Certified Integral Yoga Teacher & Therapist. Her teaching has been enhanced with further training in Iyengar Yoga with Peter Scott. Helen is currently completing her Iyengar Yoga teacher training and now structures her classes around the Precision and Alignment that forms the basis of Iyengar Yoga. Helen's teaching comes from the heart, encouraging strength and nurturing for both the body and mind.

 

 

 

Susan Rodgers

Susan Rodgers attended her first Iyengar Yoga class with Pamela Brown in Canberra in the 1970’s.  Following a lapse in practise and a move to Noosa,  she commenced classes with senior teacher Peter Scott at Noosa Yoga Centre.  Susan has been passionate about the benefits of Iyengar Yoga ever since and has virtually overcome a severe spinal condition by regular and dedicated practice. In 2006 Susan began her Teacher Training with Peter Scott and has recently been accepted to attend Ramamani Iyengar Institute in Pune in 2009
